Dalton Sanders
Licensed Funeral Director
Dalton Sanders has been serving families in need since earning his funeral director licensure in 1988.
Dalton was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to Carl Jerome and Joann Fosness Sanders. He was raised in Wall, South Dakota as a young child and later moved with his parents, twin sister, elder sister and younger brother to Pierre, South Dakota, where his father worked as a photographer with the State Government. Dalton attended school in Pierre, South Dakota and graduated from T.F.Riggs High school in May of 1984. While in school he was very active in sports. Dalton also soon realized that he had a love and a talent as a competitive Walleye fisherman, and began a professional career as a Walleye fisherman. Dalton continues to compete in Major walleye tournaments, although age has made it tougher to compete with the younger anglers.
Dalton attended mortuary school at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon, earning his degree in 1987. Dalton is licensed in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
Dalton married Joei Beheler on August 27, 2005 at Mobridge, South Dakota and the couple moved to Lander in February of 2007. They are very much enjoying their time in Lander and look forward to many years in the community. Dalton's hobbies include walleye fishing, hunting, photography and spending time with nature. Dalton has lived in the Midwest his whole life, and very much enjoys all that the Midwest has to offer. Dalton has three daughters, Brooke, and twins Katie and Carlee.
Dalton has been in the funeral business since high school, and always knew that funeral service was his "chosen path". As Dalton states, "I love the fact that I am helping people on a daily basis."
Dominick J. Weigel, Jr.
Licensed Funeral Director
Dominick Weigel has been a licensed funeral director since 2000. He joined the staff at Hudson's Funeral Home in June of 2007.
Dominick was born in Las Animas, Colorado to Dominick John and the late Mary Carolyn Weigel. His father entered into the United States Air Force shortly after Dominick was born. While growing up in the service he has lived in Las Animas, Colorado, Rantoul, Illinois, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, Eglin AFB, Florida, Nellis AFB (Las Vegas), Nevada, Keflavik, Iceland, and Goldsboro, North Carolina.
He graduated from High School in Goldsboro and shortly there after went on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Auckland, New Zealand where he served for two years. While on this mission he had many opportunities to attend funerals and see the process of what a family goes through with the passing of a loved one. And then one week after his return from his mission his mother passed away due to complications from breast cancer.
This experience is one of the driving pushes in Dominick's life for helping others through an extremely difficult circumstance. After the passing of his mother he went to school with the goal of funeral directing.
He attended Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho where he met, fell in love with, and married Celeste Brinkerhoff. After graduation form Rick's College in 1997 both Dominick and Celeste attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale, in Carbondale, Illinois.
Dominick graduated in 1999 with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service. He stayed in Illinois and finished getting his license for the State of Illinois. He also went back to SIUC and graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Education, Workforce Education and Development.
The Weigel family then moved to Tacoma, Washington. Dominick became licensed as a Funeral Director and Embalmer for the State of Washington in March of 2002. He then worked for Mountain View Funeral Home, Tacoma, Washington.
The Weigel family currently has four little girls, Mary, Kimberly, Emily, and Amy. They are all very beautiful girls and have their father wrapped around their little fingers.
Our family is very excited about being in Lander, Wyoming. Dominick states, "What a beautiful place. We look forward to meeting everyone here and welcome the opportunity to help in any way possible".
Joei Sanders
Office Manager/Funeral Assistant
Joei also joined the staff at the funeral home in February 2007, assisting the funeral directors with funerals and office needs.
Joei was born in Fort Yates, North Dakota to William (Bill) Beheler and Jolene (Marshall) Beheler. She was raised at Fort Yates and Kenel, South Dakota and attended High School at the Standing Rock High School. Joei graduated from the Standing Rock High School, and later worked for a telemarketing Company in Mobridge, South Dakota as a Supervisor for a major firm.
Joei married Dalton Sanders on August 27, 2005 at Mobridge, South Dakota and she has three children, Hayden, Daeshaun, and Joseph. Joei worked in the pet care industry prior to the couples move to Lander. She is enjoying working with families in funeral service, and is looking forward to the many years to come in Lander.
